The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Thursday affirmed that the historic gaps existing in Peru can be better faced if a framework of unity prevails among the three government levels.

During a meeting with authorities elected in Ayacucho region, the Head of State conveyed greetings to the population and the ratification of his commitment to said jurisdiction.

The top official said that as long as there is transparency, everything is done well and there is unity, the people will know how to reciprocate the efforts undertaken by their authorities.

Similarly, Mr. Castillo urged the elected authorities to work until the last day of their administrations, as it is now the turn of those who will leave office on December 31, 2022.

On the occasion, President Castillo was joined by Vice-President Dina Boluarte, Prime Minister Anibal Torres, and other Cabinet members.

Representing Ayacucho were Governor-elect Wilfredo Oscorima, as well as the elected mayors of Huanta, La Mar, Lucanas, Parinacochas, Víctor Fajardo, Vilcashuaman, among others.
