Peru: President Boluarte's APEC trip authorization officialized

The Congress of the Republic has made official the authorization for President Dina Boluarte to leave the national territory from November 14 to 18 in order to participate in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum Economic Leaders' Summit in San Francisco, United States.

This measure was officialized via Legislative Resolution No. 31924 published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on Friday evening. 

The purpose of this authorization is for the Head of State to participate in the 30th APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting.

According to the document, the top official will remain in charge of the Presidential Office using digital technologies, which adopt digital security mechanisms and guarantee the security of the means to be used.

This measure was established within the framework of the provisions of Article 8-A of Law No. 29158 (Organic Law of the Executive Branch) introduced by virtue of Law No. 31810, as well as the current regulations regarding digital security and trust in Peru.

This legislative resolution comes into force the day after its publication.
