Peru: President Boluarte participates in Peruvian Army Day ceremony

The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte on Friday attended the ceremony to commemorate Peruvian Army Day.

The event was held at the Army Headquarters in Lima's San Borja district.

Peruvian Army Day is commemorated every December 9 due to the triumph of Peru's battalion in the Battle of Ayacucho, which occurred in 1824.

Following that victory by the patriotic military, Peru consolidated as a Republic and reaffirmed its total independence from Spanish rule.
