Peru: President Boluarte meets with Japan's Foreign Minister

The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte held an audience with Japanese Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi at the Lima-based Government Palace on Wednesday morning.

According to the Presidential Office's Twitter account, the meeting started at 11:30 a.m. (local time).

The Japanese dignitary was received by Peruvian counterpart Ana Cecilia Gervasi upon arrival at the Executive Branch headquarters.

The foreign dignitary's visit takes place five years after the last one made to this South American country by a Japanese official from his hierarchy.

His arrival in Peru occurs within the framework of the celebrations for the 150th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
