Peru: President Boluarte meets with Ayacucho authorities

The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte on Monday met with Ayacucho Region Governor Wilfredo Oscorima and mayors of towns in the region.

The meeting addressed key issues for the development of the area.


Among the issues addressed, priority was given to projects for road integration, irrigation, and healthcare centers in Ayacucho.

Moreover, the Head of State reiterated the Government's commitment to working with local authorities in order to close social gaps such as poverty and improve the quality of life of Peruvians.


The session took place at the Government Palace in Lima at 10 a.m. (local time) and saw the participation of mayors of Uchuraccay, Iquicha, Pampas Alta, and Ccano.

Afterwards, the country's top official met with representatives of the National Society of Industries (SNI) and the textile sector, also at the Government Palace.

This is the second meeting that President Boluarte holds with Ayacucho's regional and district authorities to address projects aimed at promoting well-being and development of people across the region

During the first meeting, the dignitary announced the launch of the Con Punche Ayacucho plan, which has been previously implemented in regions such as Ica and Lambayeque, with the aim of promoting economic development.
