on Friday flew over the area occupied by the Chavimochic Special Project, in northern La Libertad region, to inspect its status.
On said tour, the Head of State was accompanied by La Libertad Region Governor Cesar Acuña.
The aforementioned project has the objective of providing the residents of said area with access to Santa River waters, enhancing said water resources for the benefit of productivity, through the irrigation of agricultural lands, as well as the generation of electricity and potable water.
Chavimochic extends over more than 144,000 hectares, which belong to the Valleys of Chao, Viru, and Moche.
This special project also makes it possible to use these waters for the generation of electricity and to guarantee the supply of potable water.
Said resources and services are used by the inhabitants of Trujillo and other La Libertad region districts.
