Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra on Monday attended the
swearing-in ceremony of Panamanian President Laurentino Cortizo.
"Today, in Panama, we attended the swearing-in ceremony of President Nito Cortizo. (It was) an opportunity to reaffirm our friendship and cooperation ties, as well as to boost a development agenda for the benefit of our brother nations," the statesman posted on Twitter.
Spanish King Felipe VI, as well as Presidents Evo Morales (Bolivia), Jimmy Morales (Guatemala), and Ivan Duque (Colombia) —among others— were present at the ceremony.
As is known, the Inca nation's Head of State arrived in the Central American country on Sunday, joined by First Lady Maribel Diaz.
