Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra on Friday participated in a ceremony commemorating the victims of the 1970 Yungay earthquake.
At the event, he was joined by State ministers, as well as local and regional authorities, among others.
The ceremony took place at Yungay's main square in the presence of locals.
As is known, the 1970 earthquake covered the whole city of Yungay (Ancash region) on a day like today, claiming more than 70,000 lives.
