Peru President arrives in Ecuador for State visit

President Martin Vizcarra on Thursday arrived in the Ecuadorian capital city of Quito for a State visit, upon invitation by counterpart Lenin Moreno.

This event took place before the Presidential Meeting and the 12th Peru-Ecuador Binational Cabinet kick off.

President Vizcarra will also hold audiences with the hosting country's high-ranking officials. 

According to the Peruvian Foreign Affairs Ministry, this visit reaffirms the 1998 Brasilia Agreement's peace and friendship commitments.

Furthermore, it will strengthen binational integration, as well as cooperation bonds uniting the two countries. 

On Friday, both Heads of State will preside over the 12th Binational Cabinet. 

During the gathering, Peruvian and Ecuadorian authorities will address subjects concerning the social, cultural, economic, environmental, energy, mining, infrastructural, connectivity, and security spheres.
