Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra has accepted the resignation of Interior Minister Mauro Medina.
"I've accepted Interior Minister's stepping down given the seriousness of the events. We won't give up in the
frontal fight against corruption," the statesman said via Twitter.
Precisely during this event, on Wednesday, Medina tendered his resignation to the Head of State.
According to Prime Minister Cesar Villanueva, the former Supreme Court judge left the Inca country in an illegal and clandestine manner on October 7.
