The Peruvian Government currently prioritizes drawing investment and promotes an international campaign to restore confidence in Peru,
The Cabinet chief held a meeting with board members of the
Peruvian Exports Association (ADEX). At this event,
the high-ranking official guaranteed coordinated work to promote exports.
Otarola pointed out that, in order to move forward, Peruvians must work together with the aim of boosting economic activities.
He highlighted the productive routes, the 24 regional export plans, and the internationalization support program, which are key to exports.
In this sense, Otarola listed the
Con Punche Peru program plans, which will contribute to economic growth this year.
He added that this initiative is joined by a major international campaign to restore trust in the South American country.
"The perspective we have as a Government is that we can return to a normal situation. There is no healthy economy without peace. Con Punche Peru is a powerful program, entailing an investment worth S/6 billion (about US$1.177), which will unblock 2,600 projects," he explained.
The Cabinet chief stressed that, through the
Foreign Trade and Tourism Ministry (Mincetur), the
Executive Branch leads activities aimed at strengthening the capacities of exporting companies, or with potential, in Lima and regions.
This is the case of the Productive Exporting Route, the Internationalization Support Program, as well as various regional export plans.
"We have found an incorrect narrative about the Peruvian historic process and, thanks to the energetic decision of our Foreign Affairs Ministry, we are getting out of that," Otarola said.
"The Pacific Alliance is an important forum that has generated an improvement in exports, with historic figures for its Member States, and we believe that it should go on," he added.
"I will attend all business forums to give full guarantees that the Government will support you," he emphasized.
