12:44 | Lima, Jul. 30.

Peruvian Prime Minister Cesar Villanueva has affirmed the Executive Branch will issue a second set of regulations within the framework of the powers delegated by Congress to President Martin Vizcarra's administration.

The objective of the first set of regulations is to speed up the reconstruction of the Inca country's northern regions, which were affected by Coastal El Niño phenomenon's rains and floods in 2017.

40% of the second set of regulations has already been completed. It will reach the 100% rate next week, he indicated.

Likewise, Villanueva stated the emerging tax-related project will be reasonable enough to increase economic growth, but it will not include tax hikes.

Furthermore, the official assured the Executive Power has been working with dedication on these legislative decrees and will comply with the deadlines established by Parliament.

Finally, he ruled out the need to request more powers to Congress in order to boost the justice system reform proposed by the Vizcarra administration.
