Peru: PM discusses political reform with opposition lawmakers

Prime Minister Salvador del Solar on Wednesday held a working meeting with Keiko Fujimori's opposition party Fuerza Popular.

Fuerza Popular spokesperson Carlos Tubino, as well as lawmakers Luz Salgado and Juan Carlos del Aguila, attended the meeting.

Likewise, she indicated the gathering helped them make progress in the discussion on the political reform with better opportunities for understanding and tolerance.

On his part, Tubino expressed it is "very positive" that these kind of meetings between Congress' political groups and the Executive Branch take place as the discussion at Parliament's Constitution Commission moves forward.
