Foreign Affairs Minister Oscar Maurtua on Sunday highlighted the commitment of the Government led by President Pedro Castillo, noting the fact that more than 80% of the target population in Peru has been fully immunized against COVID-19.

In a statement on Twitter, the minister underlined the commitment of the Head of State to public health and the frontal fight against the pandemic.

"Let's look forward to this new year with expectation, confidence, and optimism, seeking the unity of all Peruvians," the minister remarked.

Precisely the President of the Republic Pedro Castillo has recently highlighted the union of Peruvians to achieve the goal of vaccinating —with two doses— 80% of the adult population (over 18 years of age).
