Peru: New Culture Minister sworn in

Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra on Tuesday administered the oath to new Culture Minister Rogers Valencia.

He will thus replace Patricia Balbuena, who decided to step down from the post on November 30.

Sworn in on April 2, Balbuena was part of the new administration led by President Vizcarra, who took office on March 23.

The swearing-in ceremony took place a few minutes after 4:00 PM (local time) at the Government Palace's Golden Hall in Lima.
