Peru: National Institute of Radio and Television gets new chairman

Hugo Coya Honores was appointed as Governing Board member and Chairman of State-run National Institute of Radio and Television of Peru (IRTP).

The appointment was made official by supreme resolution published Tuesday in El Peruano official gazette as the position had been vacant.

The document was signed by President of the Republic Martin Vizcarra and Culture Minister Patricia Balbuena.

The National Institute of Radio and Television of Peru (IRTP) is attached to the Ministry of Culture. Its aim is to coordinate actions for spreading educational, informational, cultural, and entertainment content at a national scale.

IRTP's highest decision-making body is the Governing Board, which is composed of the Chairman and four members appointed by supreme resolution.
