Peru names Gustavo Meza-Cuadra as Ambassador to U.S.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has designated Peruvian career diplomat, Gustavo Meza-Cuadra Velasquez, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Peru to the United States of America.

The designation was officialized via Supreme Resolution No. 035-2023-RE, published in Official Gazette El Peruano on Thursday.

According to the document, the corresponding credentials and full powers will be granted to the diplomat.

Likewise, it indicates that the date on which Gustavo Meza-Cuadra must take up duties will be set by Ministerial Resolution.

This designation is in accordance with the Law that regulates the participation of the Executive Branch in the appointment and designation of public officials, among other laws.
