Peru: Magic Water Circuit received 20,000 visitors on re-opening day

The Magic Water Circuit located at the Parque de Reserva (Reserve Park) facilities reached a historic visit record by welcoming more than 20,000 visitors on January 18, the day it was reopened after remodeling works concluded.

The reopening coincided with the celebrations marking Lima 480th foundation's anniversary.

According to Rocio Esquivel, general manager at Lima’s Municipal Real Estate Enterprise (Emilima) the amount raised during the opening will be directed to pay for the expenses from the remodeling and reparation process.

On January 4 this year, the tourist attraction was closed, due to the renovation start-up. Works were conducted on the water fountains and mechanisms.

Those were composed of a comprehensive maintenance, recalibrating the water fountains, improving the computer software –through which the audiovisual display is configured- and remodeling the green areas.

“Some 3,000 square meters of green areas have been recovered. The park is in full splendor,” the official highlighted.

The Parque de la Reserva a is historical landmark.

It opens Mondays through Sundays from 15.00 to 22.00 hours.
