Peru: Loreto region receives 74 oxygen cylinders in COVID-19 fight

The Peruvian rainforest region of Loreto has received an additional 74 oxygen cylinders for the treatment of COVID-19 patients.

"The initiative was made possible in cooperation with the Ministry of Production and the Peruvian Air Force on a highly complex flight so that doctors can make use of this important element," the Ministry of Health (Minsa) posted on Twitter.

Additionally, the flight carried the accessories required to complete the installation of the oxygen generating plant in the vicariate.

This supply will be used to meet the needs of Iquitos and other localities in the region.
