Peruvian striker Jefferson Farfan has become the new star of soccer club Alianza Lima for the 2021 season of the national League 1, RPP reported on Friday.

According to said radio station, Alianza Lima has recently reached an agreement with the 36-year-old athlete, which will mark the return of the forward to the club he is a fan of.

As is known, he had left the institution to migrate to the Dutch league back in 2004.

The recent ruling by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) —which allowed Alianza Lima to remain in Peru's League 1— may have motivated Farfan's decision to sign with the Blanquiazul (White-and-Blue) club for one year.

As is known, 'Jeffrey' developed a successful career having played for the following teams: Alianza Lima (Peru), PSV Eindhoven (the Netherlands), FC Schalke 04 (Germany), Al-Jazira FC (United Arab Emirates), and FC Lokomotiv Moscow (Russia) in past seasons.
