Once the ceremony was over, President Boric greeted his Peruvian counterpart, as well as other Heads of State and Government.
President Castillo also received greetings from outgoing counterpart Sebastian Piñera.
He also expressed his desire that this new stage will consolidate the integration efforts with Peru.
Bilateral relations
Relations between Peru and Chile are at the highest level and rely on a bilateral agenda with a diverse thematic and cooperation.
The Presidential Meeting and Binational Cabinet are the main mechanism for political dialogue and coordination between both countries.
