The Peruvian Government on Wednesday urged citizens to strengthen prevention measures against the novel coronavirus and return for the second dose of the vaccine.

In a message posted by the Presidency of the Republic, citizens are reminded that getting vaccinated is one of the best ways to protect oneself and others against COVID-19.

"It reinforces the prevention measure. Return for the second dose, as did President Pedro Castillo," the Government said via Twitter.

The Government ratified that all vaccines administered in the country are effective to avoid serious COVID-19 cases.

Within this framework, 8,287,518 people are fully vaccinated.
