Peru: Gov't ratifies agreement to hold 52nd OAS General Assembly in Lima

The Government has ratified the agreement between Peru and the General Secretariat of the Organization of American States (OAS) to hold the 52nd Regular Period of Sessions of the General Assembly of said organization in the city of Lima.

The aforementioned agreement was signed on July 8, 2022, in Washington, D.C., United States of America, and was later approved by Legislative Resolution No. 31528 on July 25.

Its ratification was carried out through a supreme decree issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and published in the Official Gazette El Peruano.

The document states that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will publish the full text of the aforementioned treaty and the date of its entry into force in the Official Gazette El Peruano, in accordance with Articles 4 and 6 of Law No. 26647.



The 52nd General Assembly of the Organization of American States (OAS) will be held in the city of Lima on October 5-7, 2022.
