The Peruvian Government on Monday highlighted the 150% increase in the number of medical oxygen plants throughout the country, which results in a higher production capacity.

Via social networking sites, the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM) stated that the oxygen production capacity has gone from 41 tons per day to 101 tons.

"The Transition and Emergency Government remains committed to acquiring and providing more oxygen for citizens," it said on its Twitter account.

Moreover, it reported that the number of medical oxygen plants has increased from 63 to 159 in around 15 weeks.
