Peru: Government distributed more than 100 million medicines, PPE units

The President of the Republic Martin Vizcarra on Tuesday supervised the facilities of the State-run National Center for Supply of Strategic Health Resources (Cenares).

During the state of emergency, Cenares distributed more than 100 million medicine units and personal protective equipment (PPE) nationwide.

The institution relies on a stock of 1.6 million units of medical supplies, which will be distributed throughout the country in one week, thus strengthening the health response and the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Meeting

Likewise, President Martin Vizcarra and Health Minister Pilar Mazzetti met with representatives of the Peruvian College of Physicians (CMP) in order to exchange proposals and strategies to continue fighting the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.

This meeting was held at the Government Palace headquarters in Lima.
