Peru's Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) on Friday approved the resumption of international flights to and from Spain, the Netherlands, France, and the United Kingdom starting December 15, as part of
Phase 4 of the Economic Reactivation.
The regulation provides that the General Directorate for Civil Aviation shall authorize the operation of flights —to and from other destinations— that are more than eight hours long.
Thus, the MTC updates the list of international destinations to be covered by commercial passenger airlines from Peru.
Other international flights allowed since November 1 included routes to Havana (Cuba); Montego Bay (Jamaica); Punta Cana (Dominican Republic); San Jose (Costa Rica); San Salvador (El Salvador); Cartagena (Colombia); Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Brasilia, Porto Alegre, and Foz do Iguaçu (Brazil); as well as Buenos Aires, Rosario, Mendoza, Cordoba, and Tucuman (Argentina).
The MTC stressed that passengers must comply with the sanitary protocols, such as bringing the negative molecular-test result and filling out the Peruvian migration office virtual form.
It should be noted that departure to these international destinations will be subject to the measures adopted by each country with respect to the reopening of their air borders.
