Peruvian fishery sector's production expanded 19.68% in September 2018, compared to the similar month last year, National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) informed Thursday.
Furthermore, the unloading of species for frozen (+63.7%), cured (+12.3%), and canned (+3.8%) purposes stood out.
Meanwhile, fish intended for fresh consumption slid (-5.5%).
As for marine
fishing activities, catches of species for indirect human consumption species (-100%) due to
anchovy-related closed season in the Inca country's northern and central regions.
