Peru: Fin Min tests positive for COVID-19

Economy and Finance Minister Pedro Francke on Tuesday tested positive for coronavirus, the ministerial entity has reported.

Molecular tests are administered on Francke on a regular basis due to the face-to-face work that he has been performing.

According to the MEF, the sector's chief had already received three doses of the vaccine against coronavirus and is stable, complying with health protocols, as well as medical instructions.

Given this diagnosis, the Economy-Finance minister has started to work remotely from home, the release concluded.
