Peru's Economy and Finance Minister Carlos Oliva has ruled out any alarmist forecast in the country due to the
, as the current data indicates there will be improvements in June's economic performance.
"We have a work plan that we are intensifying. We already have a Competitiveness and Infrastructure Plan, as well as other measures we have submitted to Congress, too," he added.
In this sense, Oliva stated the cabinet is sure these reforms will see the light in the upcoming months, and the Inca country's citizens will realize the
nation has resumed the path of growth.
No recession
Furthermore, he rejected any negative and pessimistic claims that have been expressed over the last few days.
"Some even talk about recession, which has been completely dismissed," the minister said.
