Peru's national production grew 2.13% in September this year, thus marking 110 months of continuous growth, National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) informed on Thursday.

Likewise, the national production expanded 3.64% in January-September and 3.30% in the last 12-month period (October 2017-September 2018).

This outcome was underpinned by the positive growth in external demand for non-traditional products (10.37%).

Goods from fishing, farming, and non-metallic mining sectors stood out.

Another highlight was the domestic demand recovery reflected in higher retail sales (2.69%) and consumer loans (9.90%).

Furthermore, INEI emphasized contributions from transport, storage, and communications (+4.49%); farming (+4.4%); trade (+1.41%); services supplied to companies (+3.11%); and manufacture (+1.19%).
