Production Minister Jose Salardi announced that the High-Level Multisectoral Commission against Coronavirus (COVID-19) will meet on August 31 to discuss the startup of the Economic Reactivation's Phase 4 in Peru.
The high-ranking official said that the logic of
Economic Reactivation phases has taken into consideration the activities which denote a low to high exposure to the pandemic due to the concentration of people.
"Next Monday, there will be a new meeting of the Multisectoral Commission, in which the appropriate moment to launch this fourth phase will start to be defined based on health indicators and permanent monitoring by the Ministry of Economy and Finance," he told Andina news agency.
The Cabinet member indicated that activities comprised in the fourth phase involve international flights, gyms, cinemas, and recreation centers, among others.
"I project that the (corresponding) activities should be reactivated in the coming weeks, but all of them won't necessarily open simultaneously (...)," he said.
