Peruvian Defense Minister Jorge Chavez Cresta on Wednesday headed the ceremony in honor of the
new Chief of the Joint Command of the Armed Forces (CCFFAA), General David Ojeda Parra.
The activity took place at Caceres Square of the Army General Headquarters in Lima's San Borja district, in the presence of the general commanders of the Peruvian Army, Air Force, and Navy.
The ceremony was also attended by Congress members, as well as civil and military authorities.
Likewise, the Operational Commandos of the Armed Forces were presented to the recently appointed Chief of the Joint Command of the Armed Forces.
As is known, Supreme Resolution No. 139-2023-DE resolved to terminate the appointment of Major General David Ojeda Parra as Commander General of the Peruvian Army, thanking him for the services rendered to the nation, and to name him as head of the CCFFAA starting January 1, 2024.
During the ceremony, Minister Chavez Cresta read the formula of recognition: "by supreme order, you will recognize Army General David Ojeda Parra as Chief of the Joint Command of the Armed Forces, obeying and respecting him."
