General David Ojeda Parra assumes leadership at Joint Command of Armed Forces

Peruvian Army Major General David Ojeda Parra, current Commander General of said armed body, will become the new Chief of the Joint Command of the Armed Forces (CCFFAA), according to a supreme resolution published in the Official Gazette El Peruano.

The appointment will be effective from January 1, 2024, the date on which his appointment to the previous position ends.

Thus, the Executive Branch thanked him for the services rendered as Commander General of the Army.

Likewise, another supreme resolution orders the dismissal of Army Major General Manuel Gomez de la Torre Aranibar as head of the CCFFAA.

Moreover, it ordered his retirement after 40 years of real and effective service as an officer, thanking him for the services rendered to the nation.

Both documents were signed by the President of the Republic Dina Boluarte and countersigned by Defense Minister Jorge Chavez Cresta.
