Peru defeats Uruguay, moves to semifinals

Peru's national soccer team on Saturday afternoon defeated its Uruguayan counterpart at Copa America Brasil 2019.

The first and second halves ended with the score tied to zero goals.

Thus, the game was extended for penalty kicks.

Within this framework, Peru managed to score 5 goals against 4 by Uruguay.

F.C. Barcelona star Luis Suarez missed his chance to shine once the Inca goalkeeper Pedro Gallese prevented the ball from sliding into the net.

Uruguayan goals were made by Edinson Cavani, Christian Stuani, Rodrigo Bentancur, and Lucas Torreira.
