Peru: Council of Ministers Presidency entrusted to FA Min Nestor Popolizio

Peruvian Foreign Affairs Minister Nestor Popolizio will temporarily take over the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM) after Salvador del Solar requested a brief leave from his position as Prime Minister.

The leave of absence —from August 29 to September 1— was granted pursuant to a supreme resolution, published Thursday in El Peruano official gazette.

Foreign Affairs Minister Nestor Popolizio will thus perform the duties of the Cabinet Chief during this temporary absence.
