The issuing entity reported that year-on-year growth in consumer credit denominated in soles and dollars stood at 11% and 20.9%, respectively.
The dollarization rate for this segment stood at 5.9%.
By type of loan, the BCR reported that vehicle loans increased by 1.6% in July, accelerating their year-on-year growth rate to 10.8%, up from 9.3% in June.
The dollarization rate of vehicle loans remained at 7.5% in July.
"Credit card lending increased by 0.6% in July. Year-on-year growth stood at 9.5% (9.3% in June). Consequently, the dollarization rate reached 12.6%," the BCR emphasized.
Finally, the issuing entity reported that the month-on-month variation rate of other consumer loans stood at 1.5% last July.
"Thus, year-on-year growth increased from 10.9% in June to 12% in July. The dollarization rate rose to 4.4% in said month," the BCR pointed out.
