Peru Consulate General promotes exportable fruit offer in China

17:47 | Guangzhou (China), Jul. 4.

Peru's Consulate General in the Chinese city of Guangzhou set up exhibition booths at the Guangzhou International Fruit Expo 2019 and the 8th Guangzhou International Food & Ingredient Fair.

The South American country's delegation received the support from Peru's Trade Office in Shanghai (Ocex) and the businesspeople, who represent and export products from the Inca nation.

Guangzhou —capital of Guangdong Province— is considered the economic heart of China and the area with the highest contribution to its national GDP over the last 30 years.

The Consulate General's participation was aimed at promoting the great potential of the Inca country's exportable supply to the Chinese market, such as grapes, avocados, blueberries, mangoes, asparagus, quinoa, and coffee, among others.

It should be noted Peru is the Asian Giant's 9th largest fruit supplier, with an enormous potential to continue growing in the next years.

Approximately 1,500 companies —from over 20 countries— and more than 45,000 people participated in the 8th Guangzhou International Food & Ingredient Fair

On the other hand, Guangzhou International Fruit Expo 2019 welcomed over 200 businesses and about 20,000 attendees.
