U.S. PureWow online publication read by 4 million readers in the Northern country included Peruvian ceviche into the "21 Things All Foodies Need to Eat Before They Die" list.

In this sense, Foreign Trade and Tourism Minister Magali Silva stressed efforts by the government aimed to promote Peruvian cuisine worldwide.

“Ceviche was ranked third on the ‘21 Things All Foodies Need to Eat Before They Die’ list elaborated by the ‘PureWow’ website, which highlights dishes that must be eaten in their origin countries, as is the case of Sushi in Japan […],” the government official highlighted.

The said article, likewise, invites readers to combine the national dish "with a not-too-sweet, just a bit eggy, refreshing Pisco Sour."

"We work on the promotion of our cuisine through information-spreading actions, such as Expo Peru and Mucho Gusto fairs," Silva expressed.

"The constant mention of flagship dishes on foreign media shows the consolidation of Peruvian food around the world and the strengthening of gastronomic tourism in Peru," she pointed out.

Besides Ceviche, the list also includes eating Brekkie in Australia, Tacos in Mexico, Fresh Poke in the State of Hawaii, Pho in Vietnam and Steak in Argentina.
