Peru beats Bolivia 3-0 in 2022 World Cup qualifier

Peru's national soccer team defeated its Bolivian counterpart 3-0 in a 2022 World Cup qualifier match on Thursday night at the National Stadium in Lima.

The Incas looked for the first goal since the beginning of the game as the team needed to improve its position in the table.

Gareca's squad opened the scoring with a goal from Gianluca Lapadula in the 9th minute. He was assisted by Christofer Gonzales with a cross. 

The Peruvian side continued to show superiority and to create dangerous situations, while being solid in defense.

The second goal of the match came minutes later (31'), after a series of passes. It was scored by Christian Cueva, who was assisted by Miguel Trauco.

In the 38th minute, Sergio Peña's shot sealed the victory for the host team.

With tonight's win, Peru has gained three points and has racked up 14, two points behind the fourth and fifth places.

It must be pointed out that the Incas' next match will be against Venezuela in Caracas on November 16.
