The financing provided by the banking system dynamized last April after having expanded by 9.9% in the said month (in annualized terms).

The increase was placed above the expansion registered in the two previous months, Peru's Banking Association (Asbanc) announced.

The gross credits granted in Peruvian Nuevos Soles totaled S/.206.942 billion (about US$66 billion) by the end of April.

Based on a constant exchange rate, this amount shows an annual growth of 9.9%, a rate higher than the increase registered in the previous two months 9.3% and 9.6%.

The result exceeded by S/.4.962 billion (about US$1.585 billion), 4.1%, the amount obtained in March 2015, and by S/.25.791 billion (about US$8.239 billion), 25.5%, the total reached in April 2014.

Whereas foreign currency credits totaled US$ 25.583 billion in April. This shows a 2.4% monthly reduction and an 8.3% annual contraction.
