Peru: Annual inflation within target range in Nov 2020

19:14 | Lima, Nov. 9.

The annual inflation rate stood at 2.1% in Peru last November, the Central Reserve Bank (BCR) has reported.

"It is worth pointing out that trend inflation indicators are in the lower part of the target range and that inflation has remained within the Central Bank's target range (1% - 3%) since June 2018," the BCR indicated.

According to the issuing entity, inflation —excluding food and energy— rose from 1.7% in October to 1.8% in November. Thus, it has remained within the target range since December 2016.

On the other hand, the annual variation in food and energy prices rose to 2.6% in November after recording 1.8% last October.
