Representatives from the Government of Peru and the U.S. State of Utah agreed to establish an action plan for the coming months, during a meeting held recently at the Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters in Lima.

The proposal aims to promote initiatives that strengthen investment, trade, and economic cooperation between both parties.

This initial agreement represents a concrete boost to create new opportunities for employment, innovation, and productive development, directly benefiting Peruvian families.

The joint proposal places special emphasis on the potential offered by strategic sectors such as critical minerals, infrastructure, agribusiness, and textiles.

These areas represent real opportunities to boost exports, attract capital, and accelerate the modernization of productive chains in Peru.

The Peruvian delegation was led by Ambassador Maria Eugenia Chiozza, Director General of Economic Promotion.

In turn, the Utah delegation was headed by the Executive Director of the Governor's Office of Economic Opportunity, Jefferson Moss.

Both highlighted the growing cooperation in technology and innovation, aimed at strengthening start-ups and SMEs, as well as expanding collaboration in education and culture.

These areas will contribute to the development of Peruvian talent and high-level knowledge transfer.

The agreed-upon action plan will allow for clearer and more dynamic progress on an agenda that consolidates Peruvian presence in strategic U.S. markets.

This aligns with foreign policy aimed at fostering sustainable economic development, productive diversification, and Peru's competitive integration into the global economy.
