on Thursday signed the Presidential Declaration, including bilateral agreements, following the

During the ceremony, Colombian President Duque affirmed that they engaged in a fluid and coordinated dialogue, which reaffirmed the strong and binding ties between the two nations and a great common agenda.
According to the Colombian leader, said agenda includes topics such as trade, investment, safety, migration, environment, health, and seeks to further strengthen binational trade over time.
"I want to highlight that we have expressed all our wills and followed up on the previous Binational Cabinet held in Pucallpa. In addition, the level of compliance was more than 85%. We also reviewed pending tasks and launched the Villa de Leyva agenda," he said.
In this regard, Mr. Duque expressed his willingness to visit Peru in July in order to hold the 7th Binational Cabinet in the city of Chota in Cajamarca region.
"We hope to make even more progress during that meeting and continue to draw up a work plan in many sectors so that binational trade, which has exceeded US$2 billion, can grow," he added.
Moreover, the Colombian top official expressed his support for multilateralism, noting that his country will not only participate in the 7th Peru-Colombia Binational Cabinet next July, but will also support the Andean Community and strengthen the Pacific Alliance.
"This declaration signed in the historic city of Villa de Leyva reaffirms the fact that our relations are at their best and that there are more things that unite us than divide us," the dignitary remarked.
"We have reached great agreements and consensus. In addition, there are many lessons for us to learn, but the underlying message is that Colombia and Peru are brother countries," he added.
