may amount to US$7 billion this year, Association of Peruvian Exporters (Adex) Chairman Erik Fischer projected.
"We will exhibit our offer online supported by all the advantages of a face-to-face event. Thanks to this initiative, companies will be allowed to connect in real time (with international buyers)," he said.
"The flagship products, recognized around the world for their high value, will be on display and contribute to the sector's growth (…)," he expressed.
For his part,
Agriculture and Irrigation Minister Jorge Montenegro said that —since its inaugural version— Expoalimentaria has always counted on the support of the portfolio, bearing the fruits of an efficient alliance between the government and private companies to offer the world Peruvian food and generate business opportunities that provide well-being to agricultural producers and their families.
He added that the variety —to be put on display— responds to current trends in international demand, which constitutes the appropriate context for the expansion of
Peruvian superfoods.
