The
latest Weekly Report by Peru's Central Reserve Bank (BCR) shows the expected year-on-year inflation rate remains within the target range since May 2017, at 2.44% in September.
Inflation expectations for 2018 remain within the 2.2%-2.3% range, and at 2.5% in the case of 2019.
According to
the Central Bank, non-financial firms reduced their inflation projection from 2.4% to 2.3%, while economic analysts maintained their forecast at 2.3%.
On the other hand, financial system representatives foresee inflation will reach 2.2% this year.
As for 2019, three groups of economic agents expect inflation to end the year at 2.5%, as forecast in the previous survey.
