The
12-month-ahead inflation expectations fell from 2.1% in January 2020 to 2% in February 2020, thus standing within the target range (between 1% and 3%), the Central Reserve Bank (BCR) reported on Monday.
Additionally, for 2020, inflation expectations of financial and non-financial companies as well as economic analysts were between 2% and 2.1%.
For 2021, said expectations were between 2.1% and 2.3%, and for 2022, between 2.3% and 2.4%, within the target range.
For this year, economic analysts reduced inflation expectations from 2.1% to 2%, while financial companies maintained their projection at 2%.
For their part, non-financial companies lowered
Peru's inflation expectations from 2.2% to 2.1%.
