ONPE official results: Castillo (50.228%); Fujimori (49.772%) at 99.998%

Candidate Pedro Castillo (Peru Libre) obtained 50.228% of votes in Peru's presidential runoff election, followed by Keiko Fujimori (Fuerza Popular) with 49.772% —out of 99.998% of voting records processed by the National Office of Electoral Processes (ONPE).

According to ONPE's latest report, Castillo has received 8,778,540 votes, while his contender, Fujimori, has 8,698,811.

So far, there are 17,477,351 valid votes, 120,608 blank votes, and 1,070,394 invalid votes, bringing the total of ballots cast to 18,668,353.

ONPE's reports summarizing the results of the runoff election will be updated every half hour.

On Sunday, Peruvians went to the polls to elect a new President of the Republic between candidates Keiko Fujimori and Pedro Castillo. Whoever wins the election is expected to be sworn in to office on July 28, 2021.
