as of Monday at 00:08, the Popular Renewal slate for the Metropolitan Municipality of Lima ranked first, garnering 28.375% of the vote.
The Popular Renewal list for the Lima mayoral race is headed by first councilor candidate Rafael Lopez Aliaga, following the resignation of Luis Rubio as the mayoral candidate for the capital.
According to the electoral authority's results platform, Lima mayoral candidate Francis Allison (Go On Country) ranked second with 27.736% of the vote, followed by Carlos Bruce (We Are Peru Democratic Party) with 15.550% and Daniel Urresti (We Can Peru) with 7.441%.
Further down were Elio Riera (Alliance for Progress), with 3.806%; Susel Paredes (Now Nation), with 3.482%; Samuel Daza (Popular Force), with 2.477%; and Alberto Tejada (Popular Action), with 2.449%.
Also on the list of preferences were Oswaldo Vargas (Together for Peru), with 1.667%; Ricardo Belmont (Civic Works Party), with 1.486%; resigning Luis Miguel Llanos (Let's Make Progress), with 0.777%; and Segundo Valdez (Agricultural Popular Front FIA of Peru), with 0.758%.
Meanwhile, Carlos Gallardo Neyra (Good Governance Party) received 0.619%; Elizabeth Leon (Hope Front 2021 Party), 0.600%; Monica Yaya (Peruvian Aprista Party), 0.553%; Edgardo de Pomar (Popular Christian Party), 0.499%; and Flor Hurtado (Green Democratic Party), 0.329%.
Also on the list of preferences were Victoria La Cruz (Purple Party), with 0.290%; Peru Libre, whose candidate resigned, with 0.233%; Juan Alvarado (We Will Overcome Alliance), with 0.174%; Sandro Caller (Patriotic Party of Peru), with 0.166%; Yehude Simon (Green Land), with 0.121%; Santiago Abarca (Peru Vision), with 0.079%; and Ruben Bonilla (Citizens' Force), with 0.073%.
Rounding out the list were Samir Quispe (Peru Battle), with 0.062%; and Luis Huette (Conscious People), with 0.055%.
A total of 26 political organizations are competing for the mayorship of Metropolitan Lima.
