The spokesperson for the High-Level Group appointed by the Permanent Council of the Organization of American States (OAS) to analyze the situation in Peru, Eladio Loizaga, affirmed that members of the mission will hold talks with everyone during their stay in the country.

Upon his arrival at Jorge Chavez International Airport, he spoke briefly about his expectations regarding this visit.

"We will meet with everyone," he said when asked by reporters if his agenda will include a meeting with Peru's Attorney General Patricia Benavides.

On Saturday, Loizaga stated that the OAS mission's visit is a visible expression of the unanimous support from countries in the Americas to Peru.

According to the spokesperson, the only objective and mandate of the high-level group is to listen to Peru, so the mission will dedicate all its time and energy to this during its stay in the country.

In this regard, he announced that the group will listen to the executive, legislative, and judicial branches; the Government and the opposition; as well as religious representatives, union leaders, businesspeople, professionals, and civil society representatives.
