These measures are governed by
Supreme Decree No 083-2021-PCM, which provides that the following economic activities will be allowed to operate today:
1. Stores providing essential goods, supermarkets, markets, itinerant markets, bodegas, and pharmacies, from 4 am to 6 pm at the capacity limits allowed under the alert level rules in place in each area.
2. Pharmacies and drugstores with a 24-hour delivery service.
3. Restaurant service with delivery service, from 4 am to 11 pm.
Vaccination
The decree states that the vaccination process —slated to be held today, May 9— will take place as scheduled.
To that end, people over the age of 70 will be allowed to go out —with a companion— to get to the vaccination sites.
On Saturday,
Health Minister Oscar Ugarte reported that the vaccination of the elderly in Lima and Callao had been rescheduled, and that individuals who were scheduled to be vaccinated on Tuesday, May 4, had been rescheduled for today May 9.
